Killed A Cactus

My cultural background is one of farmers. Whenever people make the cultural assuption that I've got a Green Thumb, I always tell them I'm an urban horticulturalist - I've got a cement thumb.

"I've killed a cactus," I truthfully confess, to emphasize just how bad I am with plants.

"What did you do, overwater it?" everyone respons.

Always I burst into laughter. I love that people assume I nurtured it to death. No, I neglected it to death.

I just forgot about it. One day, I stopped watering it for a very very long time.
